Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus. The Cyrus siblings comprise two half-brothers and half sisters, and an older brother, sister and a half-sister. Miley's parents named her hoping they would have her succeed. Her nickname from childhood, Smiley, due to her cheerful disposition, was eventually shortened to Miley. Her father, a Democrat political figure, Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandparents. Cyrus started school in Heritage Elementary School. Cyrus relocated with her family Toronto Canada around the age of eight. Cyrus' father Billy Ray was cast in Doc (2001). Cyrus decided to get into acting around this time. The first time she acted was alongside her dad as Doc Doc (2001). Additionally, she had a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). In 2005, Cyrus was cast as the lead in the Disney Hannah Montana series. Hannah Montana (2006), about a teen leading a double life as pop-star. Once again, her father was on the show with her. The show would go on to be an enormous hit. Tours which sold out, and agreements with merchandise companies came later. Cyrus became famous as an teen. After the huge success of Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus made the move into different roles. She was her role as Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) as well as Lola on LOL (2012) along with Demi Moore.
